CLIC SARGENT X BAMBI

Supporting Social Enterprise is what we are all about at Print Social. Our pre-sale garment platform is designed to help charities and small enterprises to fundraise with zero upfront costs. We want to empower creators and small brands alike by providing a platform that enables them to support themselves through their ideas. We will handle the printing and shipping so they have more time to focus on what they do best.

We sat down to chat with  @clicsargentUK about their most recent campaign with us in collaboration with @bambi.

Q: Hi Emma and Zoe! We are so thrilled to see CLIC Sargent's campaign: CLIC Sargent x BAMBI for World Cancer Day go live the other week. It really looks great. Are you able to briefly introduce yourselves? I am Emma, our Product Marketing Manager at CLIC Sargent. I work with external suppliers to secure new promotional products for our key campaigns throughout the year and have loved working on our new t-shirt campaign for World Cancer Day this year.

I’m Zoe, Brand and Marketing Communications Manager at CLIC Sargent. I ensure our brand stands out from the crowd, work with my colleagues to ensure they’re living the brand in all that they do and help the charity make a lasting impression on everyone who experiences us.

Q: How come you’ve picked Print Social as a platform to launch the campaign? Here at CLIC Sargent, we’re always looking for new ways to raise money and awareness for our work with children, young people and their families. We decided to think out of the box this year to find new audiences to support our World Cancer Day campaign.

Typically we purchase new products up front and sell our merchandise through our online shop, however, we loved the way you guys at Print Social work on a print on demand basis. As you can imagine as a charity, it is always important for us to balance how we spend our income and this provides us with a way of doing something innovative, without the risk of excess stock!

Q: Is this CLIC Sargent’s first time launching their own clothing range? We currently have our own branded range of clothing for supporters taking part in fundraising for us such as runs or challenges but we don’t have anything that is a bespoke design like we have created with Bambi. It’s really different to anything we’ve done before and really encompasses CLIC Sargent’s nature to be bold and brave.

Q: We are really loving the artwork for the t-shirt. It’s so powerful. How did you and Bambi manage to come up with the idea/artwork between you? This year’s World Cancer Day campaign is based around raising awareness of the disruption cancer causes to children and young people, especially when they’re starting out in life. Cancer doesn’t care about your plans, your ambitions and your future – but CLIC Sargent does. When chatting to Bambi about a design, we really wanted to encompass this idea that CLIC Sargent is there for young people when they are at a point when they need support. With this theme in mind, we left Bambi to her creativity and what was produced is something we are all proud of. It’s a young person being raised up by their community – something that CLIC Sargent does every day for young people nationwide.

Q: We noticed within the first hour you’ve already made over 20 sales which is amazing. Did you expect your campaign to be this successful so early on?We have an amazing community supporting us at CLIC Sargent and we of course hoped that this would translate into sales for our campaign. We were blown away by the support when it launched, and we continue to be amazed. We’ve also been really lucky to be supported by some of our brilliant celebrity ambassadors in promoting the campaign with their audiences, which has meant that not only are we being supported by those that know us – but also new audiences who might not know about the work we do yet. It’s definitely proven to us that there is a real appetite for this style of fundraising and will be looking to do more in the future.

Q: What do you hope to get out of your campaign once it’s over? Will there be anymore?! We hope that we will have raised a substantial amount of money to support our work for young lives against cancer, as well as all important awareness with new audiences too. We are already thinking about other campaigns we could trial and test with this platform – so stay tuned!
